FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an E Centre?

E Centres is a Cork County Council initiative in partnership with both local business organisations and state enterprise agencies, to support start-ups, entrepreneurs, remote workers among others, and to provide best-in-breed business facilities such as training centres, conference and meeting facilities, hot-desking and other services to support businesses and communities in the Cork region.

Where are you located?

There are 10 E Centres in the network throughout Cork County, namely Bandon, Bantry, Bere Island, Charleville, Fermoy, Macroom, Millstreet, Mizen, Skibbereen and Youghal.

How do your rental agreements work?

Our agreements range from 1-hour conference room rentals to weekly or monthly Hot Desk agreements and longer term leases for Offices and Industrial Units.
We know that flexible agreements help you to grow your start-up or small business at your own pace. We also offer rates inclusive of overheads, eliminating the need to sign-up to long-term utility contracts and allowing you to plan your expenditure without any nasty surprises!
Just starting out? Need some space while you move offices? Want to visit with us while your space is being renovated? We can help with that, too.

What is a Hot Desk?

A Hot Desk refers to a desk in a fully serviced co-working office environment.  Hot Desks are suited to those who wish to start businesses in an economical and supportive environment.  They are also suited to those who wish to work remotely from head office, or those who need to downsize and wish to share an office space.  In an E Centre, Hot Desk clients build contacts and relationships and reduce the isolation involved often felt when starting and running a business from home.
